The googleSearch (CSE) component was last updated seven years ago. Making it compatible with Joomla 4 and above would require a bit of work. If you feel you are up to it, submit the installation package of the extension or just its instance in Joomla 4 to the JED Checker component and get a list of incompatible lines of code that need to be modified.
