I have a similar problem trying to edit styles of Joomlashine templates on several old websites: it doesn't even get into the style editing since Joomlashine closed.
I have edited plugins/system/jsnframework/libraries/joomlashine/update/helper.php and /system/jsntplframework/jsntplframework.defines.php but it hasn't improved. Where can the check be?
