Administration Joomla! 3.x • Missing field in database: error, in Administration

Hello,

Joomla newb here. I'm trying to manage a site created by a late relative. The site functions, it's really an text and gallery website, but if I try to edit any of the article files, I receive this error:

An error has occurred.

0 Missing field in database: Joomla\CMS\Table\Extension   extension_id.

Also the Joomla version claims to be up to date. I'd like to get to be able to edit the site, I'd need to make some text changes on a few of the pages, but I'm unable to do that. Any help is really appreciated.

I suppose this is likely an outdated Joomla version problem? Thank you.
